Brentford Snatch Late 2-2 Draw Against Manchester City on Tuesday

Two late goals saw Brentford rescue a dramatic point against Manchester City in a pulsating encounter.

The first half was a tale of missed opportunities for both sides. Despite City’s positional dominance, with 20 touches inside Brentford's box, they managed just two shots on target before the break.

The second half came alive when Savinho struck the post shortly after the restart, and Erling Haaland squandered a golden chance with a header. After Mikkel Damsgaard’s goal was ruled out for offside, City finally broke the deadlock. Phil Foden produced a stunning volley from Kevin De Bruyne’s pinpoint cross to give City the lead.

Nathan Ake made a crucial goal-line clearance to maintain City's advantage, which was extended with 12 minutes remaining. Foden struck again, firing in a rebound to seemingly seal the victory for Pep Guardiola’s side.

However, Brentford had other ideas. Yoane Wissa clawed one back in the 82nd minute, and Christian Norgaard headed home a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser to stun City.

The Bees nearly stole all three points in the 95th minute, but Ake once again cleared off the line to preserve a point for a shaken Manchester City.
